This family was a dream to work with! Mary was lovely and fun and her family was the same.
We had this session on the calendar for over a month. The week of, I started watching the weather and it was not looking good, ha ha! We were scheduled for Saturday, and every time I checked, Friday was looking less risky, so on Thursday, we switched the date.

It rained on my way through Logan canyon. To say I was stressed was an understatement. This was already my first time photographing a family at the North Beach at Bear Lake, and now I was gonna have to deal with possible thunderstorms??

The wind started to pick up and I just had a huge knot in my stomach.

When we got to the lake though, it was stunning. The clouds and the bit of sunlight behind them--breathtaking. The wind died down and it was magical. I couldn't have asked for a better night for photos. I was so so so happy that it worked out. (Although I would not be surprised if it was completely sunny and lovely the following day.)
