Tony Grove Family Photos
We took a drive up to bear lake the other day to look for good locations for family photos with my family next week. On the way up we stopped at Tony Grove Lake (where we were originally going to take photos, but turns out it's a longer drive than we thought.) I got a new remote for my camera since my last one had died, so I had to try it out, and what better way than taking an awesome family photo in such a gorgeous place? I seriously can't believe it took me this long to go there. It really is pretty, I love all of the giant pine trees and massive rocks.
The boys loved climbing on the rocks and throwing little ones into the water. Sam even found some snow to throw in the water. :) I love capturing these photos of my kids. I never want to forget what they are like right now. Sam's reached the point in his life where he can be slightly awkward in front of the camera most of the time, with his cheesy grin and misplaced hands, but I love it. Tyler still just gives the cutest little grins, even when his eyes are closed it's darling. :) Amelia has been able to say "cheese" for months (probably because she's had a camera in her face so much since birth) and is young enough that she's just cute no matter what.
I believe in capturing memories, and I believe photographs help us to remember. They don't all need to be taken with a nice camera of course, but it's nice to have some professional prints to hang on the wall or put in those frames around the house.
