What to Expect at Your Engagement Session

Yay you're engaged! One of the first things you get to do (besides celebrate) is take some photos for your save the date/wedding announcements! As far as photo sessions go, this is definitely one of my favorite ones. :)

I love the time I get to spend with just the two of you and get to know you better. You're welcome to bring more than one outfit (I usually encourage you to limit it to 2 for times sake). Most people choose a nicer outfit and a more casual/less dressier one.

Like most sessions, we get our best lighting if we start about an hour before sunset, depending on the location. This lighting is one of the reasons why my work is so consistent. It's also so dreamy, especially when we get the warm, golden light from a sunset. 

I like to do some posed shots where you're looking at the camera, but I also love to get shots of the two of you interacting and looking at each other. I also throw in some kissing photos, but don't worry, I always ask to make sure you're comfortable kissing in front of the camera first. ;) Either way, you don't have to worry about where to put your hands, or how to stand, I'm there for you every step of the way! Posing couples comes naturally to me now!

My goal during this time is not just to get you some photos from your wedding announcement, it's to create images that you will cherish for years to come; that your children and grandchildren will be able to look at and see the connection and love that you have for each other.
