A Little About Me | Stacey Marble Photography | Logan Utah Photographer

Hi I'm Stacey! I'm the face behind Stacey Marble Photography.
I figured I'd blog a little about myself since I've never done that before, and I
like to know the people behind the business, so I figure others might as well.

I grew up in West Jordan, Utah. Spent my whole life in the same house.
I am the only girl with 4 awesome brothers.
I came up to Utah State University 11 years ago as a drawing/painting major.
I avoided the photo class for as long as I could. It was film photography, and I
think I was just a little nervous about it. Turns out, I ended up loving it and switched
my emphasis to photography after that!

I married Travis 6 years ago after dating for the better part of a year.
We met in Logan as I was going to school.
He is my greatest supporter and always encourages me in this business and all else.
We now have 3 kids. 2 boys and 1 baby girl. We have our hands full with 3 little
ones, but it's fun.

I photographed my first wedding nearly 7 years ago. It was my roommate's wedding.
I was supposed to be the second photographer, but then she fired the first one or something.
I was pretty nervous. Let's just say, I've come a looooong way since then.
I still love photographing weddings, and families have been a huge part of my business lately.

I ran cross country and track in high school, but I don't consider myself a runner anymore.
I ran a marathon with a friend a decade ago and it was great to check it off my bucket list, but
I think I will stick to handball and pickleball for now. I can stop playing those whenever I want without having to worry about getting back to where I started, ha ha!

I love being outside, but not necessarily in nature, just, outside, with my kids. We're not huge
into naturey-outdoorsy things, not that I don't want to be, but maybe when my kids are older
it will be a little more enjoyable. For now we enjoy the parks and splash pads all over the place!
I do love sports though. Not really a fan of watching them, but I will play them all day long.
Handball, pickleball, tennis, spike ball, soccer, softball--this is my ideal form of exercise and "me time." I am definitely a happier person when I've exercised.

I love reading but am always skeptical of new books, unless referred by someone.
(even then, I sometimes don't jump right up to read it.) I've read the Harry Potter
series lots of times, because that's easier than starting a book and having
to stop because I hate it or something. I also love a good musical (or a bad one if I'm being honest.)
High school musical, the Greatest Showman, Beauty and the Beast, Psych: the Musical--these things instantly bring a smile to my face. :)

Mostly, I just spend my days hanging out with my 3 littles. I love family time. I love my job.
I love capturing memories and moments for people to cherish forever. I'm so lucky
that I have found something to do for life that I love so much.
I'm so thankful for all of you who have made it possible and support me along this journey!
